The term "development" in web terms broadly means the entire process of website creation, as distinct from the pure design process.
Building a website involves a number of processes including the visual design elements, such as graphic design and image manipulation, layout, colours, etc., but there are also the coding, functionality, user experience and data management elements to be considered, among others.
Rebuilding
Many customers come to us with an older website in need of a facelift and although that is sometimes enough, this time can be used as an opportunity to re-assess and modify the site's functionality.
Sometimes this results in simply adding content management capability, but usually there are other issues that need addressing. Enhancing visual elements, improving online form processing, introduction and utilisation of an online database, search engine optimisation and even the introduction of video and sound are just some examples.
